These two small cairns amid Vermont fall colors were found along the Texas falls stream in Vermont's Green Mountains. Cairns like this are usually used for marking trails in many parts of the world. Here I believe someones inner artist was striving to get out. I don't think I would have the patience to stack them so carefully. I found several in the area and I was very careful not too get too close or knock them down. Being fall, the Vermont fall foliage was nearly at it's peak on 2 October this year. and I was amazed to find such nice color this far south in central Vermont. But the fall colors were being seen very early this year. Check my http://www.jeff-foliage.com website for next years outlook.
You can find this river upstream little ways from Texas Falls.. Yes I know, in Vermont.. :-)
