Artist's Description

The Upper Cox Brook covered bridge is one of three of Northfield's covered bridges that stand within a quarter mile of one another. The others are the Lower Cox, and Northfield Falls Covered Bridges. They are closely located on Cox Brook Road, as that road passes over the winding Cox Brook, a tributary of the Dog River. All of the 5 covered bridges that are maintained by the town of Northfield are painted red with green signage.
