The sunrise arrives at Derby wharf #Lighthouse. A cold dawn hovering around 10 degrees. There is just enough snow on Derby Wharf in areas to make it a trudge but in others, the winds have scoured it almost bare. The lack of clouds render the sky a deep blue but as the sun rises cold over Marblehead it warms the horizon in yellow and orange hues. Almost to fast it climbs into the sky and I thought to wait for it to center up behind the fresenal room of Derby lighthouse but I was too cold and it would be too much light. I soon trudged back down the wharf to snap some shots of the other buildings in the Salem NHS Nathional Park. I know this area really well since I work here as a National Park Ranger in the summers.
