Vermont's fall colors reflect off the river below the Fisher covered bridge in Wolcott Vermont. The New England fall colors are an astounding variety of colors and shades in the morning light in and around this covered bridge. The New England fall colors happen but for a short period of time each September and October and this quintessential New England rustic covered bridge is one of the few still standing that was built for trains in the 1800s. Scenic covered bridges are far green and today there are only about 100 left in Vermont. I love to visit Vermont's covered bridges at any time of the year but when the scenic landscape of Vermont turns a multifaceted kaleidoscope of color in autumn and that is my favorite time to visit.
