Description
The Winter Island Lighthouse in Salem, Massachusetts rises proudly against the icy morning, its white façade glowing softly in the pale light of dawn. Above, the sky blazes a brilliant blue, touched by the first golden rays of the sun. Thick seasmoke billows from the frigid waters of Salem Harbor, cloaking the harbor’s entrance in a swirling, ghostly mist. Perched at the end of a rocky outcropping, the lighthouse cuts through the haze with its steady beam, casting a guiding light across the harbor and shoreline. The air is piercingly cold, each breath a sharp reminder of winter's grip, while the only sounds are the rhythmic lapping of waves against the rocks and the distant calls of seagulls. Through it all, the lighthouse stands unwavering — a silent sentinel, offering hope and safe passage to those navigating the misty waters.
