I loved this dead gnarled tree at the edge of the south rim with the Indian Watchtower at Desert View in the background. It was designed by Mary Coulter and built in 1932. It lies at the Eastern end of the Grand Canyon and while there were many people here it is a 22 mile drive so the number of visitors is less than the main visitation areas. Mary Coulter created her vision for this building
