From this hilltop campground and the fire tower located there, you can get a complete view of the mountain ranges in New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, and Canada.
This particular day was without rain but I have taken a chance and gone up on this metal tower in light rain hoping that no thunder and no lightning would happen while I was on this giant metal needle on top of this hill. On that day it was mostly clouds and rain but I did get a light rainbow over a near valley. The scenic fall colors can be very dramatic with low clouds over the near and far hills.
