The old red mill craft shop was originally the Chittenden Mill at site number 2. In the 1850s it held a cabinet shop and a starch mill. There were several other mills along the Brown River that produced things like chairs and wooden pumps. In the 1870s it was a grist mill producing various flours for sale through out Northern Vermont. In 1972 the town purchased the mill and it became the Jericho Historical Society. Wilson "Snowflake" Bentley's collection of photographic captures of ice crystals or snowflakes reside on the first floor gallery here in Jericho Vermont.
