Stairs of the past Canvas Print

The stairs are old and well trod, they used to be a few hundred years back about where the batlements would have been for Fort Pickering. During the Civil war the walls kept Salem and Marblehead safe from opposing forces. Today Winter Island is home to a recreational park enjoyed by thousands of visitors to Salem Massachusetts. The wood stairs are more current then historical but if you listen carefully, you can hear the cannons fire and the tread of boots on the stone walls.
