Whaleback Light is located offshore of Fort Foster and Wood Island in Kittery, Maine, at the entrance to the Piscataqua River and Portsmouth Harbor. the first structure built on Whaleback ledge or Whale's back ledge wasn't built there until 1820. You can get views of this lighthouse from many different points on the Maine and New Hampshire shorelines. This was captured from Fort Foster in Maine.
